Ironing presses are divided into two types, and the ways they work differ. The first invented type of device is conventional ironing presses. Such devices work on the principle of dry ironing. The laundry is neatly laid out on the lower surface and pressed against the well-heated upper part of the platform. In some models of this type, it is possible to moisten the fabric with water (using special nozzles on the handle of the press or a separate spray gun). Recently, ironing presses with dry ironing have become irrelevant.
